I always love hearing about Asian restaurants that offer gluten-free options. I was recently told about Akasaka Japanese Restaurant in Toronto (Richmond Hill). Since I have family in that area, I’m looking forward to my next visit! I’ll be stopping in to try out the gluten-free menu at Akasaka.

Here is what others have said:

“Chef David has made a complete gluten free menu with the help of gluten free consultant Dr. JoAnne Bennett Mirsky.
As well, the teppanyaki tables come complete with gluten free soy sauce, gluten free teriyaki sauce, gluten free miso soup and gluten free salad dressing. The meal is cooked in front of you at the teppanyaki table so you can see what goes into the food. Memorable experience all around. Also does gluten free asian cooking classes at the restaurant.” (Anonymous User)
